Should the leftovers be left to cool before putting them in the fridge?

If there are leftovers that cannot be finished, some people will throw them away, while others will put them in the refrigerator for the next meal. Some of the latter are used to waiting for the leftovers to cool at room temperature before putting them in the refrigerator. Is it more scientific to do so?
In fact, if you want to keep leftovers, you should store them in the refrigerator as soon as possible. Because 4°C ~ 60°C belongs to the dangerous temperature range of perishability: when the temperature exceeds 60°C, most bacteria cannot survive; when the environment is lower than 4°C, the reproduction speed of most bacteria can be reduced, which is relatively safe .
If there are leftovers that cannot be eaten, reduce stirring, put them in a clean airtight box, cover them, and store them in the refrigerator. This will reduce the temperature of the dishes as soon as possible, and at the same time use the airtight box to form a negative pressure to reduce the risk of deterioration. In addition to leftovers and leftovers that need to be put in the refrigerator, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, and fresh beans and vegetables can also be stored in the refrigerator freezer. However, tropical fruits such as bananas, lychees, dragon fruits, mangoes, etc. are not suitable for storage in the refrigerator, as they are prone to frostbite. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are not suitable for storage in the refrigerator, as long as they are stored in a cool and dry place.
