Portable photo studio

Nowadays, many people use mobile phones to take pictures, and mobile phones have become people’s “portable photo studio”, but mobile phones are easy to lose, which is also a reality that has to be faced. The photos lost along with the mobile phone will gradually disappear in the memory. Even though most people will not cry bitterly because of this, they will feel regretful to some extent. After all, some commemorative photos left at important moments cannot be retaken.
With the use of smartphones for more than ten years, SLR cameras and compact cameras tend to be gradually eliminated. I can’t recall the last time I took a photo with something other than my phone. Of course, as a person with a good habit of “archiving”, whenever the mobile phone photo album is close to being full, I will copy it to the computer and the hard disk respectively, store it in “duplicate” and then delete it. Over the years, two hard drives have been filled.
The two hard drives full of mobile phone photos are lying quietly in the storage box. Although they are not dusty, they have not been opened for a long time. It is conservatively estimated that there are as many as tens of thousands of photos and short videos stored in it. It is a big headache to think about it. If you want to read it all at once, it is estimated that you will not be able to finish it in a few days and nights.
Not long ago, I wanted to find some photos of my children’s campus life. I rummaged for more than an hour. After my head was dizzy, I found a few more satisfactory ones, which further weakened my desire to open the hard drive to look for photos in the future. Could it be that these photos from the mobile phone album can only be stored as digital data?
I have always loved taking pictures. In the film era, the first camera I owned was an entry-level product of a domestic brand. One of the biggest characteristics of using a film camera is that you are reluctant to press the shutter. A roll of film can take 36 photos, but a person with excellent loading and shooting skills can take 40 photos.
When using a film camera to shoot, you have to press the shutter number silently in your heart, and you have to allocate and plan to use it. You can’t wait until a particularly worthwhile scene arrives and find that there is no film available in the camera. Unlike a mobile phone, a picture can be taken several times or a dozen times as soon as it is happy, and then it is troublesome to select and color it.
After relying on my mobile phone to take pictures, I found that my photography level has dropped. Think about it too. When taking pictures with a film camera, you have to repeatedly find the angle, compare the light, observe the depth of field and the state of the characters, and press the button “click” when everything is perfect. Smartphones don’t need to be so troublesome, they will be adjusted automatically for you, and you can continue to shoot continuously with just a thumb movement.
However, the less confident I am in my photography skills, the more I want to take more shots. In the end, I couldn’t help but feel that the photos from the film era still have a taste. It is said that some early digital cameras have become popular again, because the pixels are not high and the color tone is monotonous, but they have the taste of film.
The photos taken by film cameras in the early years were all stored in albums. These photo albums are stacked together, so thick that they are one or two meters high. During the holidays, I will pick out a few of them and flip through them. The advantage of the album is that it is easy to look through it, and the yellowed album pages and photos are also plated with traces of time, which looks very textured.
In order to continue the beauty created by film photos and photo albums, for several years, I would regularly select some good photos from the phone album and print them out with my home printer.
After printing, frame them with photo frames bought online, hang them on the wall of the aisle, the back wall of the living room, and place them on the desk. At a glance, you can intuitively return to the scene when the photo was taken, which is very convenient. When I am bored at home, I often stand in front of these photo walls for a while to calm down.
Now there are fewer opportunities to take pictures, and the enthusiasm for taking pictures is also low. The advantage is that I have gradually recovered my previous experience in taking pictures. If it is not worth taking pictures, I will never turn on the phone to take pictures. If it is worth taking pictures, I will carefully observe and experience it, and take it carefully. Get down and never blindly press the shoot button continuously.
I found that this kind of ceremonial and solemn mobile phone shooting makes electronic photos seem to have a little more meaning and value. Every once in a while, I will organize the photo album on my mobile phone, delete the unsatisfactory ones, and only keep the ones worth saving-I have to leave more storage space for my third hard drive.
