  Coco Chanel’s road to growth was not smooth. Chanel was born in a small town in France. Formerly known as Gabrielle Chanel, she grew up in the Correze Abbey. During her childhood, she was shrouded in misfortune.

  Her mother is a village woman and her father is a trader. Her poor family background made her understand very early that she needs to support herself.
